Electrical schematic
Schematic for outdoor show: includes
a generator, distribution board, LED fittings, cable schedule, dimmer racks, power and lighting to site amenities, festoon lighting and multicore cables serving access towers.
3D model
A 3D model significantly aids understanding of the lighting design and communication to clients, show directors and stage managers. Applications include Google Sketchup (left) and VectorWorks Spotlight.
Lighting diagram
A customised excel spread sheet is used for design, initially, and rigging, subsequently. This is linked to a schedule of fittings that records, hanging locations, lantern specification, colours, control channels e.t.c
Event plan
An annotated event plan can show fitting positions, tables, and can also include an event programme to show how the lighting design changes to suit a pre-determined timetable of activities at the event.
Lighting visualisation
Rendered image of the lighting proposal using characteristics of actual lamps proposed including colours pointing, location and gobos (in this example - a leaf breakup) to depict near accurate image of the lighting design.
